New Generation Welcomed in Junior Owners Initiative
NEW GENERATION OF FOUNDATION OF HEARTS MEMBERS SIGN UP THROUGH JUNIOR OWNERS INITIATIVE
Names of members signed up by 22 March to feature on Tynecastle display
The launch of the Junior Owners scheme late last year has proved a huge success for the Foundation of Hearts, with some 800 youngsters already signed up. Now the Foundation, in partnership with the club, is planning to create a display of the names of all Junior Owners, which will be mounted in the tunnel area at Tynecastle.
“We’re absolutely delighted that so many young supporters have joined the Junior Owners initiative,” said Foundation chair Gerry Mallon. “Thanks to the commitment of the fans, this organisation has a wonderful history, but as well as celebrating the past, we must build for the future. The Junior Owners are the lifeblood we need as we move forward to support the club in these exciting times.
“With such positive responses already achieved, we are ambitious for this initiative and are looking to push the membership up towards the 1000 mark. To drive this, we have announced that any youngsters signed up to the scheme by Sunday 22 March will have their name featured on the display board at Tynecastle.
“We will also be organising a ‘meet and greet’ day for Junior Owners with players during April. That promises to be a terrific event for this new generation of Foundation members.”
