BRIAN CORMACK ANNOUNCES AGM AND BOARD ELECTION DETAILS

Dear Member We have stated in the recent monthly blogs that we were working towards the second Foundation of Hearts AGM.We can now announce the AGM date as Thursday 3 December 2015 at 2.00pm. The meeting will be held at Tynecastle and the formal papers will be sent to you 14 days in advance. They will include the 2015 accounts.

In June this year Ian Murray stepped down as Chair and Director of the FoH, which created a vacant position. The Board decided that no particular professional skill set was required so would open the election up to all members. Among other things, the election process presents an opportunity to address gender diversity on the Board and we would therefore particularly encourage our female members to consider standing for the position.

If you wish to put yourself up for election to join the FoH Board for a three-year term then you will find here a nomination pack, full instructions and a brief outline of the role and responsibilities of a Director. Anyone who is a member of FoH and has been for the months of August, September and October is eligible to stand. You must also be 16 years of age or older at today’s date.

The election timetable is included in the documentation.The election will be run by the independent Electoral Reform Society.
